Aniwords – The “Best” Anime of 2015 (Part 1)

I will not deny that this title is perhaps something of a red herring. I regret nothing, as it is perfectly and appropriately descriptive—and because most of the people who comment on it won’t actually read it anyways. So now, if you’re wondering what this column is actually about, I’ve jumped headfirst (or maybe butt first) into the world of rhetorical criticism, with the anime fandom’s lexicon as my subject. In a lot of ways, this is just a introductory piece, but it comes at a nice time in the year. And it was fun to write. Hope you guys enjoy it!

  1. What I wrote at CR

I think 2015 was a very good year ! If anything the bar was raused in a kit of catergories . Music and THE OP / ED’s have been elevated! The action is getting crazier! Some of the srorylines are quite interesting . The fanservice content has been pushed to the borderline !

Now there is so much truth to each their own / but there has to be some standards and agrrement or it neans nothing at all! This is just an example not an indication . Some think Non-Non Biyori is one of the Best Slice of life ever . Some think Block Battle Blockade / Death Parade / One Punch Man are outstanding anime ! But if you try tp push Charlotte and or Comet Lucifer up there you lose creditabiltly so you can’t dismiss standards so easy /

    • Yup, people are always quite complicated with the things they like and support, and the things they don’t. For me 2015 was a bit of a downturn, but I also had a lot less time on my hands this year to allow things that didn’t grab me immediately to have second and third chances, like I’ve done in the past.
